Southern Serenade! Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop!

Hello and welcome! This month the Artisan Design Team are providing inspiration using the Southern Serenade Stamp Set or the Waterfront Stamp Set. The good news is that these stamp sets are both being carried over into the new Annual Catalogue arriving on 1 June 2018.

So I have chosen to work with the Southern Serenade Stamp Set and whilst not normally my style, I have gone for a more Shabby Chic approach.

So how did I construct my card? I used Staz-On ink!! Yes - it's coming back into the new catalogue - yippee! Oh I have missed you Staz-On! I wanted to create a "stained glass" effect, so I stamped the image onto a Window Sheet. You will notice that part of my image is missing so that I could stamp the sentiment there too along with the image. If you very carefully use a small alcohol wipe you can remove some of the image.

I then coloured the image with my Stampin' Blends, I actually coloured the back side of my stamped image on the Window Sheet. I then positioned this over some Very Vanilla card stock with the lacy image stamped off in Crumb Cake ink.

And of course I made a box to go with my card! Whilst there are Lustrous White mini gable boxes coming in the new catalogue I used the Silver ones. I carefully opened up my box along the side seam, laid it flat to stamp the lacy image on it and then adhered it back together "inside out".

Then I added some DSP and Very Vanilla ribbon around the box, some pretty embellishments from the Share What You Love kit and a pearlized doily stamped on the reverse side and cut in half behind my sentiment.

I found some super cute tea bags to go in my box too! I plan on giving these gift boxes to my work colleagues at the end of term :)

Here is a more masculin version too:

So I hope that you love my creations and that they gave you some inspiration. On the other side of the world you will hop to Susan in New Zealand and see her awesome projects. But come back soon!

Voilà! J'espère que vous aimez mes créations et dites-moi si ça vous plaît!

De l'autre cote du monde il y a Susan en Nouvelle-Zélande, elle va vous plaire, j'en suis sûre, mais revenez bientôt:
