Lots of Lavender with Stampin' Blends

Now for this card I was trying for a more masculine colour scheme. I know that flowers are something that wouldn't normally feature on a male card - but my husband loves flowers and spending time in the garden so I though I'd give it a go!

So this is a Sale-a-bration stamp set, which means you can earn it for free with a 60€/£45 spend in my Stampin' Up! online store. And it might not be the first one that jumps out of the catalogue and says "pick me" (like those Pandas, more on those later in the week!) but I love this set. And I'll tell you why, not just because it's free but because I can use my Stampin' Blends!!

First up I watercoloured a panel with Bermuda Bay, Lemon Lime Twist and Sahara Sand. These coordinate nicely with the Picture Perfect Party DSP. This is the b side paper and not the yummy a side (see yesterday's post for food cards!). And well black works with everything, right?

A tip, I always white heat emboss the sentiment on black card stock. Don't be faffing around with the craft ink just go straight for the heat embossing. It stands out and dries straight away!

A word on the Stampin' Blends - go easy on the purple and the blue, they are dark. I do a tip to tip technique onto my Pink Pirouette blends. This does not ruin your pens in any way. When you have finished just remember to run off the additional colour on your pen tip on a scrap piece of paper.

If I get time and a faster internet connection (fibre optics will arrive one day soon in the French countryside!) I will do a little technique video on this - but, like I say, don't hold your breath!

See you tomorrow with those awesome Pandas!

Bisous
