Brightly Lit Christmas : A song of ink and snow

So it's December 1st ! Are you excited ? I'm sharing an ink blended card today with a tip to create the snowfall and then I must start my December memory keeping project :)

So let's talk about today's card. First I took my sponge finger daubers and starting with a light blue colour blended out in circular motions on watercolour paper. I moved onto to darker blues and finished with Night of Navy. Now you don't need a lot of this colour because it's dark! Remember to start light and build up the colour.

Then I took my white craft ink. I actually have two ink pads, one for stamping and one for blending. With a clean sponge I created the lighter circle in the area where my lamp would be.

Then in the lid of the ink pad I squeezed some of the liquid refill, added a small amount of water and flicked my watercolour paper and my die cuts. Now you might want to do this part in a box because I managed to cover most of my desk with "snow" and me !!

I gradually built up the "snow" background. Another tip, make sure you leave everything to dry or use your heat tool before you put your card together. You don't want to smudge your beautiful background.

Thanks for joining me today,

Bisous
