stampin' up! hostess set | a whole lot of lovely

Hello and welcome to my blog.

Today I am sharing a simple watercolour card made with one of the new Stampin' Up! Stampin' Rewards exclusive stamp sets. These are stamp sets that you can obtain at a very reasonable price if your order totals more than £150/200€. Here is a graphic ~

If you click on the graphic it will take you to the online store where you can see all of the exclusive stamp sets that you can choose from.

For my card today I used A Whole Lot of Lovely stamp set. You get four great items to work with and it's available in clear mount (cling) or wood mount. Here is a look at the set ~

And here is my card ~

Really simple to make - ready for a quick tutorial?

  • Using watercolour card stock
  • Stamp your sentiment with Versamark ink and heat emboss with powder, mine is in gold
  • I took my Stampin' Up! Markers and selected five to give me a *rainbow* effect (Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Cucumber Crush and Tempting Turquoise)
  • I scribbled them one by one on a acrylic block (or piece of clear plastic), sprayed with water using my Stampin' Spritzer and then added the colour to my card with an Aqua Painter
Add more water on your card to blend the colours together and allow it to dry. The water can warp the card stock so once it is dry I like to leave it overnight under a pile of heavy books to help flatten it!

So a really pretty effect that doesn't take too long and doesn't need lots of supplies - perfect!

I hope you found some inspiration here, have a beautiful day.x
