introducing SU 2015-17 in colours | stacked up hearts | tutorial

Hello and welcome to my blog.

Today I am introducing the Stampin' Up! In Colors for 2015-2017. There are five of them and whilst I was sad to see the 2013-2015 colours retire, the ones that have replaced them are bang on trend!

Without further ado I will present my card for today which showcases them ~

From the top we have Watermelon Wonder, Delightful Dijon, Cucumber Crush, Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe - pretty amazing right?

Click on the photo below and you can see all the amazing colour products that Stampin' Up offer for these new shades ~

Here is a full view of my card ~

Here is a mini-tutorial with tips on how I created my card ~
  1. I used the heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch pack from the new In-Color 2015-17 paper pack
  2. I selected similar colours from the Cherry on Top DSP stack
  3. I tested the layout to ensure I have room to stamp my sentiment from the Sprinkles of Life stamp set
  4. I used washi tape to secure my hearts as I ran them through my sewing machine
  5. I then adhered the panel to a top folding card base (this hides your sewing on the reverse side) using dimensional adhesive
To learn more about the awesome stamp set please read yesterday's blog post which includes a *sweet* offer.

So there is my card for today, which is Clean & Simple and introduces the new In Colors. I'll be back again tomorrow with another project highlighting something from the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue.

I hope you found some inspiration here, have a beautiful day.x
