pootlers blog hop | spotted happy birthday | mini tutorial

Hello and welcome to my blog and the Pootlers Blog Hop!

I have a Clean and Simple card to share today that is really easy to make and creates a big impact! That's right - make the product do the hard work, right?

Here is a teaser ~

Here is a quick tutorial on how I created my colours ~

  • Take the 1/2" circle punch and punch a circle from each of the 2015-2017 In Colors
  • Take your sponge daubers (or sponges if you prefer) and some Whisper White card stock and blend each of the inks to create an ombre effect
  • Punch out some darker and lighter shaded circles
  • Arrange with your card stock to produce a stunning effect of same colour circles with variations of shades

Here is my full card ~

To complete my card I die cut and stamped a sentiment. So there you have it, Clean & Simple and really quick and easy to produce with a cool result.

hexagon ink blended hello

Hello and welcome to my blog.

I love ink-blending - I cannot tell you how happy it makes me! Today I have a card that is really simple to create. All you need is some inks, some blenders (sponges, daubers or ink blending tools) a punch shape of your choice and a sentiment!

Here is a peak ~

I created an ombre effect with the inks and then I punched out my shapes. I die cut a sentiment and added them to a card base ~

I love that you can make a simple card and let the colours make the bold statement for you.

Here are details of my supplies ~

Stampin' Up! 2015-2017 In Colors ink pads (you can save money buying them all in a pack with 20 sheets of card stock)
Stampin' Up! sponge daubers

layered letters alphabet | balloon mother's day card

Hello and welcome to my blog.

Today I have a card to share that uses the new Stampin' Up! Layered Letters Alphabet stamp set ~

This set also includes a rectangle and a circle stamp, to help you stretch this set as much as possible.

Here is a card I created recently for Mother's Day, I heat embossed the letters in white over die cut balloons ~

I used the new 2015-2017 InColors for my balloon colours and some paper from the Cherry on Top designer paper stack. I arranged the balloons so that they lined up with the tails on the paper and used my InColor markers to highlight the balloon tails on the paper ~
